Traveling around the world with the workshops, I wanted to convey to people the diversity of flowers in nature, to show how to create various flowers using the technique of sculptural painting, but I realized that most of students prefer to study roses and peonies.
That’s why this time, creating a new program of master classes, I decided to show several types of roses and peonies.
They are so diverse in varieties, shapes, structures that one type of flowers could fill all 6 days.
For the last couple of years, I have been focusing on color in my work and decided to tell you in this master class how to use it and how to make a three-dimensional work even more attractive. After all, in the artwork, not only the form is important, but also the impeccable color scheme.
Climbing Rose
I put this flower first in the program, as it is ideal for the first experience in sculptural painting. The structure of the climbing rose is not as complex as that of the hybrid tea rose, but many identical petals allow you to hone the skill of their creation. And their amount attracts with the splendor and fullness of the flower.
In addition to creating the flower itself, I will tell you how to use the color wheel, how to diversify your color palette and give you a ready-made compositional scheme which you can use in your future work.

Dahlia Flower
This is a new flower in the master class program, it is not even in the VIP online course yet. Using the dahlia as an example, I will show a new type of petal, which I have shown only to a few students in Moscow.
▪ I will show how to work with contrasting colors correctly.
▪ I will teach you how to use palette knives of different sizes in one flower: from the smallest to the largest. Tree Peony
The tree peony is one of the most favorite flowers in master classes. And this is not surprising, the flower attracts with its beauty, a large number of wide, curling petals and lush stamens.
▪ Using this flower as an example, we will study the features of working with dark paste for sculptural painting.
▪ We will learn how to create additional depth in the picture using paste of different tones and brightness.

Herbaceous Peony
Another variety of peony, distinguished by a large number of small torn petals, creating which the student hones the skill of working with paste.
The unusual angle of the flower creates additional complexity of the composition and mystery.
In the lesson, we will learn how to combine contrasting colors, learn in what proportions they can be used so as not to spoil the picture.
